RECIPES
Hi Everyone,
I have been collecting recipes and recipe books for years. With everyones busy schedules lately I have not had much time to cook anything that takes longer than 10 minutes to prepare. I would love to get back to trying new recipes and think it would be great to share recipes here.

I thought I'd share a recipe in spirit of the season!!! It is from the Betty Crocker page, but my kids adore them.
1 box (1 lb 6.5 oz) Betty Crocker® Original Supreme brownie mix
Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
1/2 cup Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy creamy white or vanilla frosting (from 1-lb container)
2 tablespoons star-shaped candy decors
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray or shortening. Make and bake brownies as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan, using water, oil and eggs. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
2. In small microwavable bowl, microwave frosting uncovered on High about 20 seconds or until drizzling consistency. Drizzle frosting over brownies; sprinkle with star decors. For brownies, cut with plastic knife into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store covered at room temperature.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Follow High Altitude directions for 13x9-inch pan on brownie mix box
It took about two hours to make. It's a great time to spend time with my children and see how their day was going. HOPE YOU ENJOY!

Okay - here we go a perfect idea for Halloween.
I make Jiggly hands with Jello - You will need 4 packages (4 service size) of any flavor Jello and clean disposable gloves-- The recipe states to soak the gloves in warm water, rinse, squeeze dry and spray inside with cooking spray.
Pour 2 1/2 cups boiling water into the dry jello mix. Mix until dissolved and refridgerate 10 minutes.
After 10 min remove from fridge and slowly pour into gloves - close gloves tightly with a rubber band and chill in fridge for 4 hours.
Carefully cut the gloves off.
I like to take another color of Jello and make 2 packages in a rectangle pan and add gummy worms- then set the hands on top.
There are many variations to this recipe and it can be allot of fun.
I hope everyone enjoys.
And by the way I found the cutest costume (a little duck) yesterday at Mommy & ME. I absolutely love your store!!!!!

The recipe listed below I found on the Betty Crocker website and I am anxious to try it. Hopefully I will get a chance to this week. I was thinking about leaving the anchovy paste out and adding Baby Bello mushrooms. If anyone else makes this dish before I get a chance let me know how it turns out.
Linguine with Spicey Chicken Sauce
8 ounces uncooked linguine
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic finely chopped
2 teaspoons anchovy paste
1 red jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
2 tablespoons chopped sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2pound boneless chicken breast, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 medium red or yellow bell peppers, cut into 1x1/4-inch strips
1/2cup dry red wine or chicken broth
1/2cup freshly grated or shredded Parmesan cheese
1. Cook and drain linguine as directed on package. Meanwhile, in 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Cook garlic, anchovy past, jalapeno and tomatoes in oil about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until garlic just turns to golden.
Stir in oregano, chicken, bell peppers and wine (broth). Cover and cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until chicken is no longer pink in center.
Add linguine and 1/4 cup of the cheese to mixture in skillet; toss until linguine is evenly coated.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese
